COVID-19 UPDATE: Dear all, the farm shop is currently open as usual on THURSDAY, FRIDAY and SATURDAY – 9:00am until 6:00pm. The shop has been a bit more busy than usual so we would ask customers only to take what they would usually buy and to observe our ‘1 customer/family group in the shop at a time’ policy.
ADDITIONAL NOTE: we have been selling out of most produce before the end of Saturday and have been closing the shop early as a result. If you plan to come on Saturday it would be prudent to arrive before 1:00pm to avoid disappointment.
Best Wishes to you all. Keep safe. Mandy, Steve, Tom and Emi.
Our farm shop is open on Thursday, Friday and Saturday is a great place to come for healthy, fresh, seasonal produce. The shop stocks everything we grow including top quality carrots, potatoes, salads, tomatoes, peppers, chillis, celeriac, purple sprouting broccoli, spinach, strawberries, raspberries, apples, pears and plums … the list goes on. We also buy in other organic produce to supplement what we grow ourselves and stock cheese, local eggs and honey.
We select vegetable varieties that taste good unlike some commercial varieties that are grown of their high yield potential or ability to travel long distances. Our bolero carrots have won some prizes for flavour as have our raspberries and beetroot.
We usually have frozen raspberries, blackcurrants and strawberries available out of season as well as jam and marmalade when we find the time to make it which is usually in winter. Onion strings are available from October and are a very attractive and useful thing to have hanging in your kitchen.
If you need any more information on what we stock don’t hesitate to contact us or pop in and talk to one of the growers – there is always someone on the farm so if there is no-one in the shop you can get their attention by honking your horn or ringing the bell at the house.
